APPOINTMENT

Corrie
Practice Manager
Corrie kept finding herself drawn to the general practice side of veterinary medicine and wanted to be a part of a team that was in her local community. It was that desire that brought her to Best Pets. Corrie was born and raised in Wilmington and now with her husband, they are raising their son. At home, she takes care of two rescue pets, Eddie, an old Russian Blue cat, Batman, a goofy Plott Hound, and a “few” fish. When she is not in the hospital with her team, she can be seen on the soccer field coaching her son’s team or leading a group of Cub Scouts. She spends time with her family in Maine, leaf-peeping in the fall, and skiing on the mountains in the winter.

For fun she loves to spend time with her two Siberian Huskies, Taikanni who is 11 years old and Bumble who is 8 months. Liane and Bumble compete in dog shows across New England, and have big plans to have Bumble become a certified therapy dog and be true to her breed and hopefully learn to pull a sled.

Mia joined our team while still finishing her degree in veterinary technology at UMass Amherst, Mount Ida Campus. She rescued a beagle named Max who is a retired research beagle. Alaina
Veterinary Technician, CVT
Alaina graduated from the two-year veterinary technology program at North Shore Community College. She also passed the Veterinary Technicians National Examination and is now a CVT. In her free time, Alaina enjoys making art, listening to music, and rollerblading. Working with animals has always been her passion and she is very excited for her future in veterinary medicine.

Jonathan
Veterinary Technician
As long as he can remember Jonathan has always said he wanted to be in the veterinary field. As most children who love animals say, “I want to be a veterinarian when I grow up”. I went to college and started working in the local animal shelter in their medical ward during the school year. This is when he fell in love with the technician/nursing side of veterinary medicine. He loves being the one to get the history on your pet and give them one on one nursing care. At home he has a cockatiel named Cosmo. He enjoys playing flag football, hiking and reading books. He also enjoys traveling to new places and spending time with family and friends.

Abby
Veterinary Technician
Since Abby was a child, she has always had a passion for animals, especially four-legged canine friends! Her love for animals began when she started walking dogs with her grandma, and it flourished from there. Abby has worked at multiple dog daycare facilities and has two years of experience at another veterinary hospital. After three years in the corporate world, Abby realized that she wanted to continue to spend her time pursuing her love and adoration for our fur friends and joined the Best Pets team. Abby’s favorite part of the job is being an advocate for all our fur children to aid in them getting the best care and treatment. If you don’t see Abby in her scrubs roaming around our hospital, she can be found in the woods hiking with her dog and best friend, Sunny.

Kenzie
Veterinary Technician
Kenzie always knew she loved animals, but she didn’t know she had a passion for working with them until she started walking dogs in 2018. She then transitioned into her first vet tech job two years ago, and that’s really where her passion for working with all types of small animals came to life. She is currently in the Penn Foster program to complete her Vet Tech degree. Right now, she doesn’t have any animals of her own but lives vicariously through her sister, who has two amazing and beautiful dogs.
