Allison

I have been a vet assistant at Best Pets Vet since June 2022 and have worked in veterinary medicine for about four years. Currently, I am pursuing a bachelor’s degree in veterinary technology at UMass Amherst. My future goal is to obtain my Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) license and continue expanding my knowledge in veterinary medicine.

Working in this field has been an incredibly fulfilling experience, inspiring me to learn and improve my skills every day. I am grateful for the opportunity to enhance the lives of pets and their humans each day I come to work.

At home, I have two guinea pigs, a cat, and a boxer mix. In my free time, I enjoy going to the beach, trying new restaurants, playing volleyball, and spending time with friends and family.

I am proud to be the first in my family to attend college and have consistently made the dean's list each semester.

At UMass, I took a semester-long class in which I learned how to care for and show sheep in a local livestock show. This was a unique and rewarding experience.
