During her journey to becoming a highly-experienced veterinarian Dr. Tapscott always wanted to see the best standards of care combined into a veterinary hospital.
Complete Care – providing Housecalls for those in need, Urgent appointments when the unexpected occurs and Special surgeries.
Blending Science Based Medicine with Personalized Service – offering the safest and most Effective Treatments and not just focusing on the bottom line, always considering the Long-term health of the pet and offering Breakthrough medical products.

Community – caring for Strays, assisting the local Rescue groups, working together with Animal control officers and the MSPCA Nevins Farm & Lowell Humane Society.
She feels blessed to have had the opportunity to form Best Pets Veterinary Hospital with the motto “Skilled care you can trust” a veterinary practice that blends the best standards of care. We have surrounded ourselves with a strong group of people (employees, clients, partners, & vendors) who support our mission. Or success proves that we can help more pets with people that share these values.
Dr. Tapscott is an active member in several professional associations including the AVMA, the Massachussetts VMA, and AAHA. She also volunteers services for several local rescue groups including the MSPCA Nevins Farm and Lowell Humane Society.
Brittany Bald, VMD
Dr. Brittany Bald fell in love with Massachusetts while attending Boston University, where she earned a Magna Cum Laude BA in Biology. She then attended the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine and graduated Summa Cum Laude in 2014. During her studies, she also volunteered her time to help establish a veterinary clinic in the Galapagos Islands to provide care to the underserved domestic animal population. Following veterinary school, she completed a rotating small animal internship at the well-known Red Bank Veterinary Hospital in New Jersey, gaining further experience in internal medicine, emergency & critical care, surgery, dentistry and more. She remained there for an additional year as a specialty intern in Neurology & Neurosurgery, expanding her knowledge of common veterinary neurologic conditions, such as seizure disorders, spinal cord injury, head trauma, congenital disorders, as well as brain & spinal cord tumors.
Dr. Bald ultimately decided that she wanted to be a small animal general practitioner back in Massachusetts, as this would allow her to build long-lasting relationships with her patients and clients alike! Prior to joining the Best Pets team, she worked as a veterinarian for 4+ years in the MetroWest area. Dr. Bald strives to provide personalized, top quality care to her patients! She is fear free certified and dedicated to promoting a stress-free environment for her patients as well as providing care in a compassionate manner. Her passion for veterinary medicine, genuine nature and dedication to her patients ensures that your pet will be treated like one of her own! Her clinical interests include internal medicine, neurology, surgery and feline medicine.
Dr. Bald grew up in Northern New Jersey. When she is not working, she enjoys arts & crafts such as drawing and sewing, baking and traveling. She also loves spending time with her family and friends, including the furry ones! She has rescued many animals in her life, but her current fur family consists of a rescue dog named Muppet and two cats, Munchkin and Paperboy.
